The artist states, “Every painting I do is a labor of love. I find that each subject is enhanced by my choice of media – be it oils, watercolors or pastels. When I’m immersed in my work the hours seem to evaporate. I get so much joy out of creating a work. As the years pass, it seems there is even more to accomplish.”
Wendy Stamer now lives where she spent her early formative years on her family’s property in the rolling hills of Sussex County. It is a lifestyle she loves; in close proximity to the out of doors, with her dog, horses and cattle on farms in Lafayette and Frankford townships. As Wendy has said, “Painting landscapes, wildlife and flowers gives me the opportunity to do what I like best – observe and commune with Nature – I am intrigued with the patterns of light, the elegance of shadow and the incredible mystery and promise of God’s own creation.”
